31st January La Paz

OK, its Monday so let’s check on the shock, an American girl staying at the hostel speaks excellent Spanish so she speaks to the airport for me and deep joy, it is there.
It is raining and Martin and I decide to get a cab to the airport, not because of the rain but so that we are not overdressed and carrying helmets whilst trying to organise documentation.
I won’t bore you with the details but it was laborious and painful and we seemed to part with money in every office we visited. We had sight of the shock within half an hour of starting the process and next saw it some 41/2 hours later. Lunch in the passenger terminal and a cab back to the hostel.
One hour after returning it is fitted and we are sorted for an exit from Bolivia tomorrow.
