Had a quiet chill out day today, we were going to go and do some ourist stuff but decided to wander up to the Plaza and have a coffe, sort the blog and photos.
Later on we went of to the Valley of the Moon and it was fantastic and exceeded both martin;s and my expectations. This is an area we saw the end of as we entered San Pedro, but on going through the actual area, wow. It has been created due to the makeup of the ground, a mixture of clay, salt and sand. Thousands of years ago when they had rain here, they have had about a centimetre in the last 10 years, it eroded parts and this has left what looks like a Lunar landscape.
We drove through both ways and we are told the sunset is fantastic but is particularly enhanced by some cloud, a clear sky so Martin, our official photographer elects not to scramble 3k through the dunes and we return to the campsite.
Dinner out tonight and we are off to Bolivia tomorrow. Contact may be sparse there but you never know.
